Weather Discussion for Thursday 5/26/05
Get
ready for another gorgeous day weather-wise! Highs will be in
the middle 80s with partly to mostly sunny skies. It won't be
quite as cool tonight with lows near 60-degrees. Things start
to slowly change tomorrow as a cold front approaches from the
northwest. Gathering moisture will make it feel slightly more
humid with partly cloudy skies. Isolated showers and thunderstorms
will be possible during the afternoon and early evening hours
tomorrow night.
The
front will settle into West Alabama and stall over the Memorial
Day weekend. Small-scale disturbances tracking along the boundary
will bring several chances for rain. First off, rain and storms
will be likely on Saturday. The good news is that it won't rain
all day with some decent intervals of sunshine. Sunday will start
off dry with scattered thunderstorms late in the afternoon.
Very
similar weather conditions can be expected for Memorial Day. You
can expect more rain, mainly during the afternoon hours, as a
thunderstorm complex rolls through the state. This activity will
taper off from West to east Monday night with some dry air working
in on Tuesday. Have a great day and be sure to join us tonight
for the latest!
