Robert is the weather anchor and producer of WVUA 7 News Midday. He landed on the door step of the WVUA 7 studios in October, 2004. He comes to Tuscaloosa by way of Memphis. Before working in Tennessee, Robert was a producer and occasional fill-in weather anchor at stations in Rockford, IL, and Peoria, IL. One of his biggest stories to cover in the Bluff City was a major windstorm which swept through July 22, 2003. He produced several hours of non-stop coverage of the storm which knocked power out to more than 300,000 people in the Memphis area and caused tens of millions of dollars in damage. In June 2001, he traveled to Havana, Cuba, following two youth sports teams from Central Illinois. They went to compete against their Cuban counterparts. He produced an award winning, hour-long, documentary on the trip called "Cuban Adventure." Robert is a news and a weather junkie and enjoys biking, hiking, computers, live music, theater, movies... and did he mention he likes the weather??
