Lynn is WVUA's News Director, as well as the anchor for 7 News Midday and 7 News at 5, and co-anchor of 7 News at 6. A native of Hartselle Alabama, she's been with WVUA for over three years. Lynn graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in Broadcast News, with a minor in Political Science. Lynn has been awarded the 2001 "Best Reporter" award by the Associated Press as well as the Turning Point Award for Domestic Violence Awareness. She's also been part of the news team that was awarded "Best Newscast" by the Associated Press for 2000, 2001, and 2002. Some of her biggest stories to cover were the triple homicide at the Fayette Police Department in 2003, the Tuscaloosa tornado of December 2000, and the Northridge High School stabbing in 2003. But her biggest story to cover of all was to break the story of former Alabama Head Football Coach Dennis Franchione's departure in late 2002. Lynn is on the board of directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Alabama and the PRIDE organization.
