Finding
A Friend is a weekly segment that airs every Thursday on WVUA
7 at noon, 5, and 10 and is written and produced by 7 News reporter
Janelle Currin. Janelle works closely with Big Brothers Big Sisters
and believes that the organization is a vital part of West Alabama.
Big Brothers Big Sisters is a national organization that strives
to improve the lives of children by bringing strong, positive
role models into their lives. Since the segments debut in October
2003, the communities involvement with Big Brothers Big Sisters
have more than doubled. Every week the segment features a child
who is looking for a Big Brother or Big Sister. Being a Big Brother
or a Big Sister only requires an hour of your time each week and
it's a great way to impact a child's life. So many positive relationships
have resulted from this program and have made a difference in
a child's life. If you or someone you know is interested in becoming
